This site is a static website: pages are pre-built files served to your browser. That architecture shapes the whole policy — there is no account system, no comment form, no newsletter signup, and no database of visitors. Still, you deserve the full picture, so here it is.

What WireFreeMower itself collects

Nothing personal. The site has no forms that send data to us, no logins, no newsletter, and no tracking pixels of our own. Our calculators run entirely in your browser — the numbers you enter never leave your device.

What our hosting provider collects

Like every website, wirefreemower.com is served by a hosting company. Standard server logs — typically your IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps — are kept by the host for security, abuse prevention, and uptime monitoring. We don’t use those logs to profile visitors, and we can’t identify you from them in any meaningful way. Host-level logs are governed by the hosting provider’s own privacy policy.

Amazon Associates and cookies

WireFreeMower participates in the Amazon Associates program. When you click a product link on this site, a tag (our Associates ID) is attached so Amazon can credit the referral. Two things happen on Amazon’s side, not ours:

  1. Amazon sets its own cookies when you browse or buy — the same cookies that exist if you visit Amazon directly. We have no access to them and receive no personal data from them, only aggregate referral reports.
  2. The purchase happens entirely under Amazon’s policies — pricing, payment, shipping, and data handling are governed by Amazon’s Privacy Notice, which we encourage you to read.

Analytics

The site uses two analytics tools:

  • Rybbit (app.rybbit.io) — privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics.
  • Google Analytics 4 (gtag.js, Google Ireland/LLC) — standard web analytics. GA4 is loaded with Google Consent Mode v2: its cookies stay switched off until you press “Accept” on the cookie banner at the bottom of the page. If you decline or ignore the banner, GA4 runs without cookies (cookieless, aggregated measurement only). You can also block GA4 cookies through your browser settings or via Google’s opt-out browser add-on. Google processes the data under its own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy).

Rybbit counts page views and basic interactions — such as outbound affiliate-button clicks and calculator use — without cookies, without cross-site tracking, and without collecting names, email addresses, or other identifying details. It sees anonymous, aggregated usage data only, and runs the same whether you accept or decline the banner. Neither tool collects names or contact details, and the site itself runs no other trackers; the only cookies come from Google Analytics, and only with your consent. Your banner choice is stored in your browser (localStorage key wfm_consent) and never leaves your device. Analytics can be removed in one configuration line, and if the tool ever changes, it will be disclosed here by name first.

Guides link out to manufacturer pages, support sites, and Amazon. Once you leave wirefreemower.com, the destination site’s own privacy practices apply. We link to major, well-known destinations only and don’t link to sites known for invasive tracking.

Children’s privacy

WireFreeMower is a lawn-equipment publication and is not directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age.

Your rights and choices

Because we don’t collect personal data, there’s nothing for us to export, correct, or delete on your behalf. For data held by Amazon or our host, their respective privacy policies describe your options. You can also block third-party cookies and referral tags in any modern browser without breaking this site — the guides, calculators, and diagrams all work either way.

Changes to this policy

If the policy changes materially (for example, analytics being enabled), the revision will be noted on this page with an updated date. Continuing to use the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
